Islamic Clarification
Every single surah of the Quran — opened billions of times daily — begins 'In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.' Two of Allah's 99 names (Ar-Rahman and Ar-Rahim) both derive from the Arabic root for womb (rahm), connoting tender, motherly love. Allah says 'My mercy encompasses all things' (7:156) and 'He is the Forgiving, the Merciful' appears over 70 times in the Quran. The Hebrew Bible's God also commands genocide, drowns armies, and demands blood sacrifice — the 'Christianity = love, Islam = wrath' framing is selective on both sides.
