Islamic Clarification
John 14:6 ('I am the way, the truth, and the life') is interpreted by many mainstream theologians as Jesus referring to his role as living revelation, not a bureaucratic checkpoint. The same Jesus also said 'whoever does the will of my Father' enters the kingdom (Matthew 7:21) — no baptism required. Islam teaches that all who sincerely receive and respond to the divine message will be judged with mercy. Divine justice cannot punish someone for what they never truly received — 'And never would We punish until We have sent a messenger' (17:15).
