Islamic Clarification
Islam deeply honors Jesus (Isa ﷺ) as one of the greatest prophets, born of a virgin, who performed miracles. The disagreement is specifically about divine nature. Crucially, the Quran records Jesus himself denying any claim to divinity when asked (5:116). Jesus's own words in the Synoptic Gospels — 'The Lord is one,' 'the Father is greater than I,' 'Why do you call me good? Only God is good' — support the Islamic reading more than the Trinitarian one.
