Islamic Clarification

Muslims point to John 14:16 where Jesus promises 'another Comforter.' The Greek 'Parakletos' (comforter) is argued to be a corruption of 'Periklutos' (the praised one) — which in Arabic is 'Muhammad.' Deuteronomy 18:18 describes a prophet 'from among their brothers' (Israelites' brothers = Ishmaelites) who would speak God's words directly. Song of Solomon 5:16 uses 'Muhammadim' (מַחֲמַדִּים) — the plural of praise in Hebrew. The Quran explicitly says Jesus foretold the coming of 'Ahmad' (another name of Muhammad ﷺ).
